Business productivity: How working too hard can create more work

Happy New Year everybody.

Now is a good time to start thinking about how you can be more productive. And while you do, I wanted to share some research that suggests that working too hard can actually make more work.

Remember productivity is a measure of output not a measure of time. Those who are familiar with SCRUM project management will be familiar with this research. For those that are not, I hope my explanation gives you some food for thought.

Please note: the curve is different for different people. The research found that 40 hours was the average before productivity started to drop off.
